On Saturday, November 22, 2025, the conference The Reading Brain. Building Cognitive Reserve Through Reading: From Scientific Research to Enhancement and Protection Strategies will be held in the Aula Magna of the Teaching Services Center at the Modena Polyclinic Hospital. This event will be a time «to disseminate and share the results of neuroscientific research conducted in Modena to demonstrate how reading, throughout the lifespan, increases brain plasticity, increases cognitive reserve, and combats neurodegenerative disorders.» The conference is open to the public.
